This week I had the pleasure of receiving an e-mail from one of my Wellness Coaching clients who reported that she had just left her Primary Care Physician's (PCP) office and found out that her A1c level had dropped from ~ 7.0 to 6.3%. She was so excited with the results that she immediately texted me with the great new. Now for those of you who have diabetes you know that an A1c of 6.3 is great. The American Diabetes Association recommends that diabetics attempt to keep their A1c level as close to 7.0 as possible.

When my client first came to me she had not intended to work on diabetes management but shortly after completing her intake she reported that she was concerned because she had just been diagnosed with diabetes and she had received an A1c test result close to 7.0. I was very concerned with this result and inquired as to why she was not on medication. I asked her to schedule another visit with her PCP
